Toronto’s voluntary Building Permit Application Pre-Check is hosted on CivCheck and is free for eligible residential projects. It can review missing documents, inconsistent information, some zoning or Building Code issues and electronic-submission requirements before formal submission.
Use it. It is the City-facing tool and it produces the pre-check report and ID Toronto can ask for later. Permit does not replace that workflow.
