1. What these Terms cover

These Terms apply to the We Make Stupid website, studio services, free resources, and products offered through the site. Current products include Capsize, Permit, AI Pilot Pack, Paper Trail, and published Stupid Parts. A product page and its checkout describe the current offer for that product.

2. Product boundaries

Capsize is a paid recurring decision-support product. It structures a thesis, stress-tests assumptions, preserves evidence history, and proposes real-world probes. It does not predict whether an idea will succeed.

Permit is a one-time, time-bounded preflight product for supported Toronto residential permit packages. It is not City approval, professional design review, or a code-compliance opinion.

AI Pilot Pack is a one-time purchase. Its workbench uses a deterministic framework to turn one workflow into a bounded pilot plan. The current workbench keeps workflow answers in the buyer's browser.

Paper Trail is a paid-beta subscription product for bounded evidence around supported AI-system activity. It is not a compliance certificate or legal conclusion.

Stupid Parts are sold only when a Part is published with a live offer. The specific Part page controls what is included.

3. Paid services

Prices, currency, billing frequency, taxes, and any trial or promotional terms are shown before checkout. Recurring subscriptions renew at the displayed interval until canceled. One-time products do not renew unless the checkout explicitly says otherwise.

Capsize and Paper Trail provide billing-management paths for supported subscription actions. A cancellation scheduled for the end of the current billing period may leave access active through that paid period.

Permit access is time-bounded from the verified paid checkout. AI Pilot Pack ownership is one-time. Published Stupid Parts use the purchase terms shown on the live Part offer.

4. Access and fulfillment

A successful payment is not the only access check. WMS verifies product, payment, entitlement, subscription, and, where relevant, provisioning state before granting or continuing access. Refunds, failed payments, expired access, or canceled subscriptions can remove or limit access according to the product's current terms.

If payment succeeds but access or provisioning does not, contact support using the purchase or billing email so WMS can inspect the authoritative transaction and entitlement state.

5. AI-assisted outputs

Some WMS products use third-party AI model providers. Model output can be incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong. Synthetic analysis is not real-world evidence. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether and how to act.

Do not rely on WMS products as legal, medical, financial, investment, tax, safety-critical, or other regulated professional advice. Get qualified advice when a decision requires it.

6. What you submit

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant WMS the limited rights needed to process that content and provide the requested service. You represent that you have the right to provide it.

Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card data, health records, government identifiers, regulated personal information, confidential third-party material you are not allowed to disclose, or other secrets that should not be sent to the applicable service providers.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not break applicable law or another person's rights.
• Do not upload malware or deliberately disrupt the service.
• Do not bypass payment, entitlement, usage, or security controls.
• Do not extract credentials or non-public system information.
• Do not misrepresent synthetic output as measured evidence.
• Do not resell a product unless the live offer or a written agreement permits it.

8. Availability and third parties

Products can depend on hosting, payments, databases, email, AI providers, and other third-party systems. Those services can fail or change outside WMS control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Where a product cannot safely create or fulfill a new paid obligation, WMS may fail closed rather than charge.

9. Intellectual property

WMS website content, software, product design, branding, code, and other materials remain ours or our licensors' unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Custom studio work is governed by its applicable proposal, statement of work, order, or written agreement.

10. Refunds and statutory rights

Refund requests are reviewed against the actual transaction and product state. Any mandatory cancellation, refund, consumer-protection, or other non-waivable rights continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive.

11. No guarantee of outcome

We aim to make useful products, but we do not guarantee business results, revenue, funding, conversion, market demand, rankings, regulatory approval, availability of third-party services, or a particular outcome from an AI-assisted analysis.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WMS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, a product, AI-generated content, or a third-party provider. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.

13. Governing law

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory rights that apply to you.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the services change. The page shows the current update date. If a change materially affects an ongoing paid service, WMS will provide any additional notice required by applicable law or the applicable agreement.
